Festival Coverage: The Final Warped Tour

Last week marked the end of an era as the Vans Warped Tour music festival reached the final stretch of its annual cross-country tour. Historically noted to be the largest and the longest-running touring music festival in North America, music fans all over began to feel the loss of something special just hours after the founder, Kevin Lyman, announced its downfall last year. Every summer for the past twenty-four years, Warped Tour has promised an entire nation at least one full day of the best punk rock music acts such as Pennywise, Less Than Jake, Blink-182, and a whole slew of others across a spectrum of alt-rock genres. The tour also provided a multitude of unique vendors who implemented more fun and engaging ways to enjoy the festival to the fullest extent. The final farewell had assembled a diverse lineup of talent that included both veteran bands and emerging acts and Atlanta was not lacking. We sent our photographer to brave the summer storms of the dirty south to capture the last Vans Warped Tour festival to ever grace Atlanta, Georgia.
