Can you talk about the process of writing and recording these new songs?
We’ve had these songs written for awhile, even before our first show back in January. Lyrically, I am much angrier than on the demo. I speak on topics such as people who front on the internet and aren’t genuine. Our guitarist Mac wrote the lyrics for the song "No Resistance", which opens up about self-hatred and depression.
What inspired them?
Musically, we wanted a more aggressive sound than the demo and we feel as if we achieved that through drawing influences from bands such as Death Threat, Shattered Realm & Irate.
Is this leading up to a full length album from Watchdogs in the future?
In September we recorded six songs with Jordan Faett of Dead & Dreaming and Paper Trail. two of these songs are on the promo. We are expecting to have the whole record out on a seven-inch next year at some time.
